The McKee Agency is hosting its annual showcase as part of the 30th Annual Canadian Music Week www.cmw.net and is opening up ONE showcase slot to submissions.

We are accepting submissions with ONE YouTube link of your BEST song in the R&B, Hip-Hop, Reggae, Dance or Electronic genres. To submit your YouTube link, go to http://mckeeagency.ca/contact-us/

The artist chosen will get to perform Saturday March 24, 2012 @ Faces Nightclub 224 Richmond St W. Toronto, ON as part of Canadian Music Week in front of some of Canada’s top music executives and label reps. Plus, you will receive a complimentary Artist Pass for the CMW conference & concert series and get an opportunity to network with the who’s who of the music industry & Canada’s top musicians.

Some Rules for Submitting:

No cost to submit or perform
NO MP3 submissions
The song must not have ANY references to violence, drugs or criminal activity.
Please DONT send bio’s or pics.

THE MCKEE AGENCY – 2011 YEAR IN REVIEW

The McKee Agency is a Toronto based boutique booking agency that puts together concert tours across Canada. 2011 was our biggest year yet & the marked the year The McKee Agency became the premier booking agency in Canada for hip-hop and R&B acts in Canada.

Artists toured in Canada in 2011 include: D12, Shawn Desman, Danny Fernandes, Royce da 5’9, Black Sheep, Digable Planets, JRDN, Naughty By Nature, Maestro, Choclair, Aleesia and many more.

The McKee Agency closed out 2011, by booking the biggest hip-hop tour of the year, making history with the 21 city Canadian tour for GHOSTFACE KILLAH of WU TANG CLAN. The tour also featured guests Sheek Louch of D-Block, Killah Priest, Trife Da God & Doo Little. Many doubters said “that Ghost would never be allowed in Canada.” Sold out concerts coast to coast have proved many wrong and have set the stage for additional large scale tours across Canada coming up in 2012.

2011 saw continued progression for management client PETER JACKSON. Jackson closed out the year as the sole support act on the Ghostface Killah Tour as well as dozens of additional dates this year in support of Snoop Dogg, D12, Digable Planets, Royce da 5’9 and more. Jackson is finishing up his 2nd album which is slated to be released in March of 2012 with guests including Karl Wolf, Sheek Louch, Joe Budden, Classified & more. www.peterjacksonmusic.ca
HYDEE – Recent addition to the roster is Toronto’s top Dub Step DJ who saw national gigs in Montreal, Ottawa, St. Johns and a west coast tour in progress for early 2012.
2011 saw the partnership with the agencies involvement with Indie Week www.indieweek.com which will continue in 2012.
